Certificate in Employment Skills level 2 NCFE(2010/2011)
Study Method:
Three hour per week over one year day/evening.
Applicants are advised to contact the course organiser for further information regarding days of the week.
Duration :One year - three hour per term

Who the Course is For:
The NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Employment Skills is designed to offer young people the opportunity
to develop work-related skills and techniques in order to enhance and improve their employability.
The qualification has a particular focus of work placement/work experience and requires the learner
either to be undergoing work experience as part of his/her main course of study or to undertake some
kind of work experience.
Assessment:
The NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Employment Skills is internally assessed. The candidate must produce a
portfolio of work that covers all learning outcomes of the relevant qualification.
All learning outcomes within each candidate portfolio must be assessed by Assessors in the centre.
The main pieces of evidence for the portfolio could include:
· Assessor observation - completed observational checklists and related action plans

Course Leads To:
Within the NCFE qualification framework, the successful achievement of this qualification allows for
progression either within the learner-s chosen occupational area, or towards the NCFE Level 3 Certificate
in Personal Effectiveness at Work.

· Unit 08 Information technology for employment
· Unit 09 Quality assurance procedures in the workplace
Learning outcomes for each unit are provided in Section 3 (page 8).
Learners must successfully complete all 5 mandatory units plus one optional to be awarded the NCFE
Level 2 Certificate in Employment Skills.
