This course is aimed at; *People who want to develop their knowledge of the Skills for Life agenda. *Frontline staff who need to have an awareness of Basic Skills issues e.g. student advice staff, careers staff, reception staff *People who wish to support Literacy, Numeracy or IT learners in the classroom. *Industry trainers and NVQ assessors. This course could also be an invaluable starting point for those who would like to teach Basic Skills.

What will I need to qualify for this course?
Course Structure
Whilst studying towards this qualification the following modules will be covered; *Unit one: A stand alone unit used as an awarenesss raising module which is fully certificated. The course runs in 3 hour sessions per week, day and evenings for five weeks. *Develop literacy and numeracy supporting learner skills. *Develop practical teaching. *Learning support strategies for use in the classroom.
