Introduction:
The retail business is a complex environment in which to work, and legislation governs how you must operate. This certificate introduces candidates to the main Acts and relevant legislation applicable to the sales person and retail employer.

Study Mode & Location:
This is a 20 hour course carried out from home via Distance Learning. Preston College, St. Vincent's Road, Fulwood, PRESTON, PR2 8UR.

Course Content:
During this course you will study:

• Consumer legislation
• Security legislation
• Employment legislation
• Health and safety legislation
• How legislation affects sales procedures and transactions

Assessment:
At the end of this course students must complete an online test consisting of 40 multiple choice answers. This will be carried out at Preston College (there is an option for the test to be done in our workplace - please ask for more details).

How To Apply
You will need to have an informal interview with an Adult Admissions Adviser.
Many courses have limited places so please enquire as soon as possible. Following interview, the earliest you may enrol is mid-June.
