Introduction:
Marketing starts with focusing on who your customers are, the reasons why they buy and what they buy. Understanding your customers buying behaviour will help you compete effectively in your local community and attract both existing and new customers to shop with you.
Study Mode & Location:
This is a 20 hour course carried out from home via Distance Learning. Preston College, St. Vincent's Road, Fulwood, PRESTON, PR2 8UR.
Course Content:
During this course you will study:
- Analysing the retail sector using basic marketing concepts
- Promoting the retail business and its products
- Promoting products and services in the retail environment
- Pricing and selling in the retail organisation
Assessment:
At the end of this course students must complete an online test consisting of 40 multiple choice answers. This will be carried out at Preston College (there is an option for the test to be done in our workplace - please ask for more details).

How To Apply
You will need to have an informal interview with an Adult Admissions Adviser.
Many courses have limited places so please enquire as soon as possible. Following interview, the earliest you may enrol is mid-June.
