About this course
Candidates should be at least 18 years old and hold at least 5 GCSE's grade A-C or equivalent qualifications. Alternatively, for candidates over 21 years, suitable work experience may be taken into account.

Who is the programme for? This programme is aimed at people employed in an operational marketing support role or those people who are aspiring to move into this role in the near future.
What will I study? The programme will cover the following four modules: Marketing Essentials (September - December 2008); Marketing Information and Research (December 2008 - February 2009); Assessing the Marketing Environment (March - June 2009); Stakeholder Marketing (March - June 2009). In addition to the regular weekly sessions there will be four weekday study days between January and May 2009. Dates for these will be advised at the start of the programme.
Entry to the Programme?
How is it assessed? The programme is assessed through two externally assessed examinations in December 2008 (Marketing Essentials) and June 2009 (Assessing the Marketing Environment). The two remaining subjects, Marketing Information and Research and Stakeholder Marketing will be assessed through two assignments, one to be completed by February 2009 and one by May 2009.
Future prospects? For those who successfully complete the programme there is the opportunity to go on to complete CIM Professional Diploma in Marketing or other appropriate Level 5 qualifications.
When will the programme start? This programme starts on Monday September 2008 at 5.30pm and normally studied over one full academic year.

What about the Money? The programme fee for all four modules is 1,350. Candidates are responsible for paying CIM student registration fees (currently 120 and assessment fees of 208). We would also anticipate that a further 150 will be needed for supporting study texts and textbooks
