Content / Overview:
If you are interested in child development, and enjoy a practical approach to learning, this one-year Level 2 course could be for you. Students attend work placements in a variety of settings including nurseries and schools, working with children from birth to 16 years old. You will learn about child growth and development, how children learn, child health and how to plan for children's play. Childcare is a rapidly growing area and most students go on to employment in a childcare environment. You will be required to complete a Criminal Records Bureau check at the beginning of the course which must be paid for by the student.

Hands-on course incorporating work experience.

Range of assessments set by CACHE - exams, assignments and portfolios.

Progression:
Childcare and Education CACHE Diploma Level 3 or employment.
