Children's Care, Learning & Development CACHE NVQ Level 3

About the course:
A course for candidates wishing to gain a qualification for working with children.

Course Content:
Units will cover aspects of children's development 0-16 years, for example: Child protection, safe environments, types and provision of play, planning, carrying out observations on children's developmental skills. The Level 3 qualification consists of 5 mandatory and 4 optional units.

Equipment Requirements:
You will be required to supply adequate paper, pens, ruler, A4 lever arch folder and the Heinemann Children's Care Learning and Development NVQ Level 3, textbook available at Waterstones and Amazon.

Assessment:
This is a 1 year course assessed through written question and direct observation of performance.

Requirement
Candidates must have an NVQ2 in Children's Care learning & Development, be employed in a childcare environment as a Childminder or Nanny and be over 18 years old. The candidate must be able to reference previous experience to enable us to determine performance at Level 3. Candidates need to have either A-C in GCSE Maths and English, Level 2 in Literacy and Numeracy, an equivalent qualification or be willing to study this along side the course. Candidates need to be able to show proof of qualifications.
