This is a group class for everyone to come and sing together as a choir during a lunchtime. Learn to harmonise and blend as an ensemble and have fun while you're doing it. It's been proven that singing in a choir improves your health and well being, so get involved! The choir has a professional piano accompanist and towards the end of each module there is an opportunity to give a short informal performance in the college café.

About this course
- Feel confident about singing as part of a choir
- Know more about choral repertoire in a number of genres
- Perform in simple 2- or 3- part harmonies
- Have a greater understanding of how the voice works.
Please bring a folder to keep your music in order, pencil and perhaps a Dictaphone to record your vocal line if you find that helpful.
The session will consist of group work, demonstration and lectures from the teacher. There will also be lots of rehearsal time for each song either part-by part or all together as you learn harmonies.
You will be asked to rehearse your part (and memorize words) between lessons
You may like to study recordings of songs to help you learn them.

- The music chosen on each module will cross several genres so there is something for everyone. From classical choral works to folk, pop and musical theatre.
