The course will look in detail at the keyboard music of Chopin, placing it in an appropriate context, historically and musically, and analysing it's formal, harmonic and melodic characteristics. Tutor: Karen Betley.

About this course
- Identify the key stages in Chopin's life- Identify the formal, harmonic and melodic characteristics of certain important keyboard works by Chopin- recognise the value of performance practice in the interpretation of Chopin's keyboard music.
Please bring a notebook and pen.You may wish to buy some of the music or books recommended in class.
