Introduction to the course:
This one-day certified course is designed to provide all staff with essential knowledge and a greater understanding of the basic requirements of health and safety in the workplace. The day concludes with participants completing a multi - choice assessment.
The course will enable participants to contribute to the improvement of their organisation's health and safety working practices with successful candidates being awarded the, nationally recognised, Chartered Institute of Environmental Health, level 2 Health & Safety in the workplace' award.
Course Objectives:
- To confirm employers' and employees' responsibilities for health and safety in the workplace
- To Identify the key elements of health and safety law and the practical implications for the workplace
- Know the importance of health and safety rules and working procedures
- To ensure compliance with the H & S at Work Act
Course structure:
To ensure an enjoyable and effective learning environment, the course is tutor-led, with interactive discussion sessions throughout the day. Ina addition, participants will receive a course workbook and reference book providing useful material for use following the course.
