Allan Garden's career has spanned over 35 years in the hospitality industry. He has a wide and varied experience in large Hotels reaching the positions of Executive Head Chef and Food and Beverage manager in the Queens Hotel Leeds. In 2000 he moved into teaching and achieved his certificate in Education with the University of Huddersfield in 2003. He has helped numerous Hospitality and Hospital staff achieve NVQ qualifications in their various job roles and is keen to see people develop to their full potential
Course programme
A nationally recognised qualification. A one day course in Food Safety for anyone involved in handling, preparing or serving food.
Covers topics such as bacteriology, cross contamination, Personal hygiene, cleaning, control of hazards, law and pest control.
An interactive course that is recognised by environmental health officers as proof of training. This will ensure food businesses are complying with the law in providing food hygiene training.
Assessment is by a 30 question multiple choice test at the end of the session.
