ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
This qualification is required by anyone who is considering starting a catering business or running a catering department within a business. It is also recommended for people who are employed or looking to become employed within the catering industry. There are no formal entry criteria, however a good understanding of english is advantageous. In line with the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health regulations we are required to see one form of photo ID on the day of attendance.
PROGRAMME CONTENT/STRUCTURE
This qualification is required to address new National Occupational Standards reflecting sector-specific needs. In line with this demand, the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) Level 2 Award in Food Safety has been designed to address the food safety needs of the catering sector. This course introduces delegates to food safety and hygiene in the kitchen and provides them (on successful completion of the examination) with an approved food safety qualification which will enable them to work in food businesses.
