Introduction
NB: This course has a dairy herd management or mixed farming option.
A one year full-time or two year part-time course which combines sound agricultural understanding with technical skills, building on the experience and knowledge you have already.

If you are considering our mixed farming option, you will also work with our commercial sheep and pig enterprises and on arable production.
This course aims to provide a full range of practical understanding - from animal health through to the production of business plans.

• 1 year full time
  
• 2 years part time (1 day per week)
  

What qualifications will I gain?

• City & Guilds Advanced National Certificate in Agriculture with Dairy Herd Management/Mixed Farming
  
• Additional training is provided in a number of disciplines and students can work towards one of the NPTC qualifications below:
  - All Terrain Vehicle
  - Tractor Driving
  - Veterinary Medicine Certificate
  - Transportation of Livestock Certificate
  
• Functional skills in Maths, English or ICT
