Creative and Media Advanced Diploma What is a Creative and Media Advanced Diploma?
The Creative and Media Advanced Diploma covers an exciting range of disciplines including Film, Photography, Music, Art, and Multimedia. On the Diploma you will gain a broad understanding of the creative industries through completing projects that focus on the integration of these subjects, as well as undertaking at least 10 days of work experience in a related area. You will develop practical creative skills, using industry standard hardware and software, as well as developing skills in numeracy, communication, and ICT
What will I be doing on this course?
On the course you will:
· Work in creative teams using a wide range of Media including film, animation, photography, music, painting, sculpture and textiles.
· Complete an independent research project that can be presented in many different ways: as an event; a performance; a practical piece; or as a written project for example
· Complete at least 10 days' work experience
· Study an additional subject alongside the Diploma. This could be in a related subject (such as A-level Performance Studies or Music Technology) or another area altogether (such as German)
· Gain Functional Skills qualifications in communication, numeracy, and ICT
How will I be assessed on this course?
You will be assessed through a combination of assignments, project work, and examinations.
What sort of things can I go on to do once I've completed this course?
The Advanced Diploma will equip you with the skills to progress to Higher Education, training, or employment in the creative and Media industries as well as other sectors in which the skills you have gained will be recognised and valued.
