Course programme
Year 1
The creative sector is a fast-paced, rapidly evolving industry. The course’s major projects encompass units delivered by professional practitioners to represent the areas of expertise required to enter – and sustain – a career in the industry. The main areas of study focus on graphics, video production, animation and sound design. Teaching is delivered at Seed’s city studio in one of two training rooms, equipped with the technology needed to successfully complete the course. Seed have built an experiential training model, which offers the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge from active, experienced industry practitioners. Delivery is broken down into theory, technical training, practical workshops and self-study time. You will be taught research skills, contextual application and how to work as an industry standard practitioner. Once you have completed the HNC, you will have the opportunity to progress onto an HND during which you will continue to develop the skills you need to develop a career in the media industry. Units will have a strong focus on film and moving image production.
