We'll spend the day learning about many aspects of the human head. The morning will consist of an introduction/review of the proportions of the head and how these change depending on the angle of the head/foreshortening. In the afternoon, with a great deal of looking and studying. In the afternoon we'll work on longer drawings and attempting to capture individual likeness and character. We will find fabulous heads to draw from in the V&A's amazing galleries, such as the Cast Rooms, Renaissance galleries and Sculpture Hall. Suitable for: All levels

Marcia Teusink has over fifteen years experience teaching art in museums and schools. She has taught in California, New York, Switzerland, and Italy, at places such as the Brooklyn Museum, Pratt Institute of Art & Design, and the Zurich Kunsthaus, among others. Marcia holds an MFA in Visual Art from the City University of New York, Queens College, and is currently studying museum education at the Institute of Education, London University.
