History
EDGE Services – The Manual Handling Training Company Ltd. was founded in November 1998. Utilising our senior trainer’s profound expertise and skill we began providing moving and handling training to the health, care and social care sectors and demand was such that we soon found ourselves travelling further and further afield. One by one additional trainers joined us; and, before long EDGE had established itself at the very forefront of health and safety training in the UK

QUALITY – All of our people and children handling courses are endorsed by the College of Occupational Therapists (COT) and all of our people handling and managing challenging behaviour ‘train-the-trainer’ courses (and associated refresher/update courses) are accredited by the Open College Network (OCN) at level 3 – so you can rest assured that the content of our training is of the very highest standard.
PEOPLE - All of our trainers are qualified and experienced healthcare professionals – nurses, occupational therapists or physiotherapists – and they all have training backgrounds. They have an extensive knowledge of their subject with a particular insight into how this is applied in the healthcare/social care setting – real knowledge based on real experience.
SERVICE – We offer a unique and invaluable Post Training Support Service, for the duration of our training certificate, which means that one of our expert trainers will be available to assist with any questions/problems you may encounter once you return to work.
