You’ll learn through lectures, tutorials, example classes, face-to-face contact with academics for resolving module queries, laboratories, coursework assignments and projects. Practical work in electronics starts from the first year with the third year individual project forming a major part of your degree. Newly refurbished, state-of-the-art laboratories are equipped with software and instruments to support the varied teaching activities in electronic engineering. The course significantly benefits from close links with industry.
In your first year, and into your second year, you will follow an integrated multidisciplinary route to engineering, with modules covering core areas of the subject including electronics.
Optional modules related to electronics are available. In the final year you will specialise in electronic engineering.
