The course is run at our training venue for one day. This qualification is assessed through both oral questioning and practical assessment throughout the duration of the course by the tutor. The learner will have to practically demonstrate the application of the correct techniques in all the first aid areas indicated within the learning outcomes of the unit.

About this course

You must be able to kneel & bend down throughout the course to perform first aid techniques and for the final practical assessments.

This course is aimed at people already working or preparing to work in an industry that is identified as a low risk. People who attend this course will learn that first aid is the responsibility of everybody involved in a working environment. The topics covered are regarded by the Health and Safety Executive as being important to maintaining good practice in the safe, prompt and effective treatment of injuries and ill health in the workplace.

No previous experience or qualifications are necessary.

On successful completion of the course, the delegate will receive an Emergency First Aid at Work Level 2. Dynamo Concise Training also offer continuous support once you have qualified, including information about changes in law, regular newsletters and discounted prices on further courses as well as refresher courses. This course has a credit level of 2 on the QCF framework.

I have been a trainer for 10 years. I train a variety of subjects, including security, licensing, first aid and teacher training. I have worked in the security industry for over 20 years, in various disciplines, including Close Protection, Door Supervision and as a CCTV operative. I utilise a variety of training techniques to ensure every learner feels included within the classroom environment.

Course programme

Course content:
  • An understanding of the roles and responsibilities of an emergency first aider.
  • Know how to assess an incident.
  • Manage a casualty who is in shock.
  • Manage an unresponsive casualty who is breathing normally.
  • Manage an unresponsive casualty who is not breathing normally.
  • Recognise and assist a casualty who is choking.
  • Manage a casualty who is wounded and bleeding.
  • Understand how to manage a casualty with a minor injury.

The price includes a coursebook, notepad, pens, training pack, examination and certificate. There are no hidden fees.
