This course is suitable if you are employed, or wish to be employed at technician grade in the electrical industry. It will give you broad-based knowledge across a wide range of electrical topics with the necessary supporting principles and mathematics. It is a 2 year programme of study. (1st Year is a National Award)

BTEC First Certificate in Engineering

How will I be assessed?
You will be continually assessed through coursework in each subject and by a Programme of Integrative assignments combining work from all subjects. You will also have an end-of-year exam in some subjects.
What can I do next?
Successful completion of the course will allow entry to a Higher National Certificate course, or with distinction grades, onto a degree course.
