Improve your English through the motion picture medium.
If English isn’t your first language and you want to study or work in an English-speaking country or film crew, English for Filmmakers will provide you with the essential preparation you need before entering the industry.
In just two weeks you acquire English language film vocabulary that will give you the confidence to walk onto a film set or into a film-training environment and communicate effectively with a crew, tutors and fellow students.
Using a combination of classroom seminars and guided practical exercises you will cover film related English language and vocabulary.
Under the guidance of an experienced film professional you expand your ability to use an active filmmaking vocabulary through written and practical exercises. Through practical sessions this terminology is applied to the following areas: story writing, visual communication, working on a film set, camera operating, focus pulling, lighting and set procedure, to ensure that you acquire film set procedure vocabulary that will enable you to effectively communicate with an English-speaking crew.
