The course is ideal for students who love to read and discuss life's questions. This year's topic is The Struggle for Identity in Modern Literature. We will be engaging in questions of what makes us who we are, and how the modern writer presents this.At AS, the theme is the Struggle for Identity in Modern Literature. You will need a desire to read and discuss some of the great literature of the present day in response to the themes of: love, war, sex, class, racism, gender, politics and religion.
Entry Requirements

Modules Studied:
- Unit 1: One poetry text - concerning the struggle for identity in modern literature.
- Unit 2: Creative Study Coursework - Coursework is 40% of this course and consists of a folder of work on a novel and a play related to the theme.
