Entry Level 3 Certificate in Introduction to the Hospitality Industry

The programme involves practical work in our kitchens and restaurant. Theory will take place in a classroom environment. You will work in groups for practical, but you may be required to complete some assessed coursework individually or working in pairs. You will be taught by a variety of chef and restaurant lecturers who have a wide range of experience of the hospitality and catering industry. They will encourage you with your studies and teach you how to become truly professional in your chosen field. They will also help you to develop key employment skills such as problem solving, communication and time management. -City and Guilds Entry 3 Certificate in introduction to the hospitality industry (7107 - 03) -Food Safety Award -Functional Skills All students without an A*-C grade in English or Maths will be required, as a condition of the programme, to undertake either a GCSE or Functional Skills programme.You will be assessed by completing written tasks within a workbook which are related to working practices that take place in the kitchens and restaurant. You will be observed throughout the year and will be assessed by the chef lecturers and restaurant lecturers.
