ESOL Entry Level 3 - Evening Course
(Pre-Intermediate)(2009/2010)
Study Method:
You will study ESOL Skills for Life materials, work in pairs and groups and a use a wide variety of activities and materials such as CDs, DVDs and computers to help you learn. You will also have individual tutorials with your tutor who will set individual learning targets with you. You will have access to the ICT Room where you can practise your pronunciation, grammar and listening. You will also study Citizenship.
Duration :Evening - 6 hours, 2 nights per wk
Who the Course is For:
Speakers of other languages who need to improve their English.
Assessment:
At the end of each term you will take a Cambridge ESOL exam. There are exams in Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening. You will also complete an Assignment each term.
Entry Requirements:
Entry Level 2 exam certificates or assessment at Entry Level 3.
Content:
You will develop your English speaking, listening, reading and writing skills, your range of vocabulary and work on improving pronounciations, learning to communicate in a wide variety of situations.
You will be prepared for the national ESOL Skills for Life exams, which are in Reading, Writing and Speaking and Listening.
You will use computers to help learn English and to use Moodle, our virtual learning environment, which contains lots of information and activities that you can get to from any computer that has access to the Internet.
