Course Content & Information:

Salma’s Beauty academy offers two levels of qualifications for this unit NVQ and insurable courses.

NVQ Level 2 Facial Massage & Skin Care
This course includes portfolio building, evidence compiling and a written and practical assessment. Salma’s Beauty Academy offers all the support, advice and tuition needed to successfully complete this module

Fast track Facials Course
This course is catered for people across the board. It is an intense course that covers all aspects of facials and covering basic yet informative knowledge of the Anatomy and Physiology of the head, skull and skin.

Course content:

• Client consultation
• Facial examination
• Skin disease and disorders
• Basic A & P related to skin
• Face, neck and shoulder massage
• Lymph drainage massage
• Preparing face mask and application
• Extraction
• Usage of different products and its benefits to different skin types
• Use of steaming equipment
• How to perform professional facials
• Facial Massage
• Health & safety

Do I Need A Model:

It’s strongly recommended that students arrange models to practise the practical aspects of the course for 1.30pm and 3pm if this is a problem then the academy can try and arrange for models but cannot guarantee models therefore students may have to work on each other.

What Qualification Will I Receive:

Upon successful completion of the course students will be issued with a certificate nationally recognised and insurable BABTAC (British Association of Beauty & Cosmetology) & The GUILD Of Professional Beauty Therapists. After completing this course students are able to progress further onto doing the electrical facials course

What Course Can I Progress Onto Next:

This qualification allows the successful applicant the opportunity to progress further in to other areas such as: advanced skin treatments, Electrical facials, Skin care level 3, Micro dermabrasion and much much more.
