Assessment is based on your coursework Formal and informal assessment, including individual tutorials, peer group discussion and appraisal, as well as on-going written feedback on your work You will need to meet given deadlines and successfully complete each unit of the course You will receive formal written feedback following completion of each unit or project, together with an interim grade of Pass, Merit or Distinction. Final assessment of the first 9 units takes place at the end of the first year, with assessment of the remaining 9 units at the end of the second year. The grades from the first year will be used to predict your overall grade for your University or College application in your second year. Depending on your final grade you could achieve a maximum of 420 UCAS Points Career Progression Creative 3D Design for Jewellery & Fashion Foundation Degree at Craven College or Degree at University in Fashion, Men’s Wear, Women’s Wear and other related subjects Students have gone on to further study at London College of Fashion and Goldsmith's College, London.

- Trips to galleries and museums, as well as fashion and textile degree shows prove invaluable and are organised at relevant times of the course year
This course will allow you to develop a design language through fashion history and popular culture. You will look at local and global issues, how to design in an innovative and exciting way building on traditional techniques and develop your skills, aspirations and own area of interest such as Costume Design, Men’s Wear, Women’s Wear, Children’s and Baby Wear. Essential Skills for Progression in English and Maths to support your basic education and career development.

- Many students are selected for work experience in design studios for example: Burberry, ACE Lingerie Design (London), David Plunkett Theatrical Costume Design Company (London), Silver Cross (UK) Ltd, Jenny Watson Knitwear Company and Piccadilly Organic Babywear Company, N. Yorkshire
- A wide selection of specialist machinery, including knitting machines, photo screen print for textiles, sewing machines and table looms, along with traditional and non-traditional materials, available for experiment and exploration
