Final Cut Pro for Avid Editors

Course Outline

This two day course equips experienced Avid editors with the key toolset to start work on FCP. Participants will attain operational competence with the editing software and be able to competently set-up Final Cut Pro hardware. Assuming a good working knowledge of Avid, the course looks at the differences between the set-up and operation of FCP and Avid and is taught by an editor who knows both systems intimately. The course looks at the Mac Operating System before comprehensively examining video and audio editing on FCP, and teaching clear simple and professional techniques in media management, capturing and outputting. Title and effects generation are also covered.

This course is aimed at
Experienced Avid editors looking to become operationally competent in setting up and editing on FCP.

Pre-requisites
This course assumes that you are an Avid editor with demonstrable experience.
