Recap: Manage emergency situations, safety and promptly. Use First Aid equipment. Understand the duties of employers and the legal framework. Maintain simple factual records. Recognise the importance of personal hygiene in First Aid procedures. Manage the transportation of the casualty as required. Recognise and manage a range of major injuries and illnesses. Recognise and manage a range of minor injuries and illnesses. Perform effective Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation. Suitable for: Those who currently hold a valid four Day First Aid at Work qualification who are required to revalidate their certificate.

Course Content
What's this course for?
The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981, place a general duty on employers to ensure that there is adequate First Aid provision for their employees should they become ill or suffer injury at work. This course is designed to meet these requirements.
What's in the syllabus?
This course involves a minimum for 12 hours contact teaching time and is normally run over two days. Students will have their knowledge and skills refreshed in the procedures, safety requirements and management skills for First Aid.
Is there an exam?
Yes
The course is externally assessed. This consists of:
- Practical CPR assessment and casualty management skills
- First Aid scenarios
- Theory test (multiple choice question paper)
