Relevant work experience in the catering and hospitality industry or 3 GCSE's and Grade E or above for Level 1 and 4 GCSE's at Grade D or above for Level 2.

What is the course about?
The course will cover all the skills required for the catering industry including working in a safe enviornment, team work, preparing and cooking meat, fish, vegetables, pastry, dough, stocks, soups and sauces.
Will I need anything else?
You will be provided with a full chef's uniform. You will need to purchase a set of professional knives and relevant text books.
How long & often do I attend?
You will attend approximately 2.5 days a week and must have 90% attendance on the course.
How will I be assessed?
Through observations during practical sessions and a set exam for each unit.
What opportunities will this lead to?
If you achieve at Level 1 you can progress to Level 2. If you achieve at Level 2 you can progress to Level 3.
