Foundation Degree in Fine Art

Higher Education (Level 4)

Why Tynemet
The Foundation degree in Fine Art was designed to meet the academic standards of Northumbria University, who validate the course, and the expressed requirements of local employers.
The course combines practical modules with art history and professional practice lectures and workshops. In addition to regular displays within the college, you will exhibit your work once a year in the Ad Hoc Gallery at Buddle Arts Centre. As an emerging artist, this provides an invaluable opportunity to display your work in a professional gallery context, complete with high grade publicity. In the second year, you will carry out a work placement.
