Course content
Sociology enables you to develop an understanding of the way in which society functions and the way it shapes peoples ideas, social behaviour and culture.

How Will I Be Assessed?
Unit 1: Culture and Identity
1 hr paper: 40% of AS mark / 20% of A Level
Unit 2: Education / Sociological Methods
2 hr paper: 60% of AS mark / 40% of A Level
Unit 3: Beliefs in Society
1 hr 30 min paper: 20% of A level marks
Unit 4: Crime and Deviance / Theory and Methods
2 hr paper: 30% of A level marks

What Could I Do Next?
Higher education in any discipline. Occupations in research, management, the civil service, journalism and law are only some examples of possible careers.
