General overview
Our award-winning degree programme produces creative designers with a sophisticated awareness of contemporary surface design, market requirements, technical expertise and professional practice. It covers printed textiles, embroidery and surface design, closely integrated with visual, contextual and professional studies.

This modular programme develops individual creative potential within three main areas of textiles and surface design:
· Surface design for interiors - furnishing fabrics, wallcoverings, floorcoverings, etc.
· Surface design for fashion - fashion fabrics and accessories
· Surface design for gift - greetings cards, giftwrap, stationery

Level 1 modules: Visual Language, Printed & Embellished Surfaces, Introductory Surface Design, Introductory Professional Studies, Introductory Contextual Studies.

Level 2 modules: Surface Design for Interiors, Surface Design for Fashion, Surface Design for Gift, Individual Options, Professional Studies, Contextual Studies.

Level 3 modules: Minor Project, Final Major Project, Professional Practice, Dissertation.
