Barbering Level 2 - BARB11AL

Is the course for me?
You will train to be a barber in a realistic, industrial barbers shop. The course will develop grooming services whilst giving students the chance to work with the general public. Currently classes run on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (this may be subject to change due to numbers or timetabling).

What will I learn?
The course will develop your knowledge and skills of barbering, covering shampooing and conditioning, blow drying, cutting, health and safety in the salon. You will work with clients and are encouraged to gain a placement while training at Warrington Collegiate. -Giving clients a positive impression of yourself and your organisation. - Cutting facial hair to shape - Health and Safety - Shampooing and conditioning hair and scalp - Cut hair using barbering techniques - Salon reception duties - Drying hair to shape and creating a finished look.

How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed through the observation of practical skills, written, oral, tests, projects and assignments along with the product knowledge evidence associated with your practical skills.

What can I do after the course?
You can enrol onto a Level 3 programme at college or enter into employment as a self -employed Barber or men's hair stylist.
