Course content:
The aim of this qualification is to provide individuals with the skills and knowledge to work in various childcare settings. The course is delivered in units and covers a wide range of subjects. The course consists of three days theory and two days practical.
The course consists of 11 units related to promoting children's care. principles and values underpinning the care, learning and development sector, supporting the provision of safe and effective childcare environments, supporting children and young persons' development and supporting children's play and learning.

Course Structure:
The course consists of 11 units relating to promoting children's care. The units will be delivered across three days and two days will be work based practical.

Course resources:
Childcare Textbook. All students have access to our fully equipped state of the art learning centre. This included free internet access.

Assessment:
Students are required to complete a number of assignments which contain both practical and theoretical activities with the focus being on real work situations. Plus an external test.

Next step:
Employment working with babies and under 8 year olds.

Fees Info
The fee where stated is an 'INCLUSIVE FEE' for UK/EU students. This fee includes the tuition fee, examination fee and exam board registration fee. You may have to pay extra for materials for the course. If you are under 19 years or you are in receipt of an income related benefit the course and exam fee is FREE. Students aged 60+ years pay 70% of this fee. Students aged 19+ will also have to pay a College Registration Fee of £30 (or £20 if you receive benefit) once per academic year.Materials costs:
