GCSE grade A -G in Maths and English. Mature learners will be considered subject to successful interviews. This course is for learners who hope to progress to level 2. Full attendance is critical to achieve this award. An initial assessment may be carried out prior to an offer of a place.

If you are under 19 you will attend for 17 hours per week. If you are over 19 you will attend for 15 hours per week.
Additional info:
Learners will be required to provide their own safety boots, overalls and stationery equipment. Safety footwear must be worn in all workshops. We do not allow the use of safety trainers.
Progression:
Further study e.g. Construction Diploma Level 2 (Intermediate) or NVQ Level 2 with employment in the industry.
