Previous painting and decorating experience or successful completion of FCA or Construction Diploma Level 1 (Foundation) Painting and Decorating. Qualifications required:
Previous painting and decorating experience or successful completion of FCA or Construction Diploma Level 1 (Foundation) Painting and Decorating. Must be able to demonstrate basic hand skills in a practical situation. Full attendance is critical to achieve this award. An initial assessment may be carried out prior to an offer of a place.

Course hours:
If you are aged under 19 you will attend for 17 hours per week. If you are aged 19+ you will attend 15 hours per week.

Additional info:
Learners will be required to provide their own boots, overalls and general stationery equipment. Safety footwear must be worn in all workshops. We do not allow the use of safety trainers except in Painting and Decorating where this may be appropriate.

Progression:
Construction Diploma Level 3 in Painting and Decorating (after completing Level 2)
Further study e.g. NVQ Level 2 Painting and Decorating or employment within the industry.
