Course content:
A general introductory course providing understanding and skills training to become qualified with this, the construction industry.
Gain practical skills in Painting and Decorating, Carpentry and Bricklaying. There will be a minimum amount of theory and the majority of the work will be practical tasks based in the workshop or working around the College or occasionally in the local community. You will also study health and safety, key skills and work and life skills.
Course Structure:
A mixture of practical decorating work in the workshop, around the college and in community centres, theory work and key skills in classrooms and computer rooms.
Course resources:
Tools, equipment and computer rooms.All students have access to our fully equipped state of the art learning centre. This included free internet access.

The fee where stated is an 'INCLUSIVE FEE' for UK/EU students. This fee includes the tuition fee, examination fee and exam board registration fee. You may have to pay extra for materials for the course. If you are under 19 years or you are in receipt of an income related benefit the course and exam fee is FREE. Students aged 60+ years pay 70% of this fee. Students aged 19+ will also have to pay a College Registration Fee of £30 (or £20 if you receive benefit) once per academic year.Materials costs:
The tutor will advise you about any materials costs.
