Course Description
Whether you've got a career in mind, hope to go to university or just want to see what's out there, the Diploma is the perfect way to explore your options. It's a new qualification for 14-19 year-olds and offers a mix of classroom learning, creative thinking and hands-on experience - all designed to prepare you for wherever you want to go in life. The course will introduce and develop knowledge and skills required for employment or further study in the environmental and land based sector; including agriculture, animal care, horticulture, conservation and equine industries. With close links to industry, you will study how plants and animals are used for commercial, recreation and conservation purposes. Diploma students will also develop a good standard of English, Maths and ICT and vital skills like teamwork and self-management.
