What will I be learning?

You will learn about advanced first and second fix carpentry and site management. The course is designed to build on the skills learnt at level 2 to an advanced level. these skills will involve complex stairs, roofing and the safe use of fixed transportable machinery.

How will I learn?

Study time will take place in our modern well equipped workshops where materials are provided free of charge and tools and equipment are available whilst working at the college. There are weekly classroom sessions to enable you to build a portflio to evidence your knowledge and skill.

What else might I want to know?

You will be required to wear suitable clothing for practical activities. Safety footwear must be worn in all workshops and all other PPE will be provided. You will need to provide basic stationery equipment and a tape measure for practical sessions. Enrichment trips and team building activities are regularly organised to enhance learners experience.

What can I do afterwards?

On successful completion of the level 3 diploma you could further your academic studies by progressing on to an advanced apprenticeship award or to higher Education.
