Course content:
This course is for budding electricians and covers electrical installation technology and principles, plus practical work.
The course will give a broad introduction to most of the materials and techniques used in domestic, commercial and industrial electrical installations in the UK. You will also receive instruction and practice in installing circuits and materials on brick and concrete walls and plasterboard ceilings. The relevant regulations will be covered throughout the course.
Course Structure:
The course consists of a mixture of lectures, practical work, students working in small groups and working individually.

Well equipped workshops and laboratories. All students have access to our fully equipped state of the art learning centre. This included free internet access.
Assessment:
City & Guilds 2330 level 2 exams (multiple choice), Written assignments and Practical Assessments.
Next step:
CGLI 2330 level 3 or work in the electrical contracting or maintenance industries.

The fee where stated is an 'INCLUSIVE FEE' for UK/EU students. This fee includes the tuition fee, examination fee and exam board registration fee. You may have to pay extra for materials for the course. If you are under 19 years or you are in receipt of an income related benefit the course and exam fee is FREE. Students aged 60+ years pay 70% of this fee. Students aged 19+ will also have to pay a College Registration Fee of £30 (or £20 if you receive benefit) once per academic year.Materials costs:
