Description of course:
You will develop and extend your knowledge of computer systems, including multimedia, database, spreadsheet, presentation software, and web design. You will have the opportunity to develop an understanding of hardware and the effective use of the Internet through practical activities. This course is equivalent to 4 GCSE passes at A*-C.

Progression opportunities and careers:
When you pass this course you may advance to the National Certificate or Diploma for IT Practitioners, or enter a career in ICT.

Entry requirements:
A minimum of 2 GCSEs grade D or above or successful achievement at a Level 1 vocational course.

Specific entry requirements:
A keen interest in computers.
