Health and Social Care NVQ in Health and Social Care

This course gives students the vocational qualification required to gain employment as a health care assistant or support worker
within care settings. It gives students the underpinning knowledge and work place observation required to gain this valuable award. The College's Clinical Nursing Suite enables students to gain practical experience in using specialised equipment for use in homes and in hospital, infection control and lT facilities for research and study.

Students must be at 18 years of age during this one year programme due to Care Standards legislation. It is important to have good communication skills and the personal qualities required for a carer. Entry is subject to a enhanced CRB check and good references.
