Course Aims
This new Level 4 Higher Professional diploma (HPD) in Early Years is a new qualification for individuals who aspire to higher level roles in the childcare and education profession. The qualification offers a challenging new programme which offers high level academic focus, vocational knowledge and skills. The HPD focuses on: The application of the key values and principles of early years practice The theories and practice of child development, learning and behaviour management The skills needed to lead teams and work in partnership with families, parents/carers and other organisations
Special Features
The HPD facilitates a fast-track onto the 2nd year of related Foundation Degrees. Applying theory learned to practice facilitated by work placement/employment in childcare.
