Course Description: This course prepares individuals for careers in Electrical Installation in domestic, commercial and industrial environments or in a maintenance role. Candidates achieve a City & Guilds Level 2 (Stage 1) in Electrotechnical Technology, with practical and special electrical skills to achieve a PEO at Level 2. Learners will also study Key Skills at the appropriate level.

Entry Requirements: A good general education standard is required, however it is just as important that applicants possess enthusiasm and commitment to study and obtain a career in their area of interest.

Progression/Career Opportunities: The programme has been designed to cater for young people who wish to pursue a career as an Electrician and those seeking a Modern Apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering. Students completing this final year will need to gain employment in the Electrical Industry and continue their Level 3 studies as a part-time student.
