Food Preparation and Cooking includes the practical units:
Soups
Sauces

Vegetables
Hot and Cold Desserts
Core Units of Food Safety, Effective Team Work and Safe and Secure Working Environment.

Entry Requirements SVQ Level 1 Multi-Skilled Cookery and Food Service or Hospitality Intermediate 1/2 or 3 Standard grades at band 3 or above including English Equivalent qualifications Experience in the sector.
Day release candidates should be employed within a kitchen environment. A place on the course is subject to formal interview/testing.

Duration
1 year full-time or 2 years day release.

SVQ Level 3 Professional Cookery: Food Preparation and Cooking or employment as a Commis Chef.
