Course Level This course is to help you in achieving the Combustion Performance Analyser component of the ACS (Accredited Certification Scheme for Individual Gas Fitting Operatives) relative to domestic gas work.

Description
A refresher course covering all of the safety fundamentals of commercial gas appliance work, which is required by Gas Safe Register, for your registration with them. Areas covered include radiant tube / plaque heaters, direct fired appliances, indirect fired air heaters, water heaters and boilers

You are not obliged to take a refresher course, but we strongly advise it, to help you to pass the associated assessments.

1 day, plus a separately taken 1 day assessment

What will I study?
This course covers current practices in the areas of:
installation
Ventilation
Flues
Controls

How will I learn?
The course is for experienced people, and the subjects are wide ranging, so are mainly covered in the classroom. This is by lecturer input, written exercises, and research. There are practical tasks also, in certain areas of work.

How will I be assessed?
The assessment takes 1 day in addition to the training period, and is undertaken separately.

Where could it lead?
This course will help prepare you for the associated CORT1, CIGA1 and CDGA1 assessments, helping you to provide the required evidence of competence necessary for Gas Safe Register registration in those areas of work.
