Level 2 Diploma for Hair Professionals (Hairdressing) is regulated by Ofqual. This course has been developed specifically to meet the requirements of the Hair Professional Apprenticeship Standard, Hairdressing route.
Achievement of a Diploma for Hair Professionals is a mandatory part of the apprenticeship standards for Hair Professionals. The qualification develops the core knowledge and skills needed to become a competent Hairdresser and Junior Stylist.

The qualification is suitable for learners of 16 years of age and above.
Mature students welcome, you will be required to sit a skills assessment test during your interview.
Students will be provided with their own materials and equipment e.g. kit and uniform. There will be an extra cost for these which will be discussed with you by the tutor.
Due to current industry guidelines all students when working within the Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy salons in college must wear a mask and a visor. If you are exempt from wearing a mask a visor must be worn.
Learners should have a minimum of level 2 in English and Maths or equivalent. If you have not yet achieved this, please speak to our team who will provide you with the relevant advice and guidance on achieving this.
Learners must work as apprentices employed in a suitable role for assessment of workplace skills for take place.

This course is suitable for 16 years and up.
We have 2 groups; 16-19 years and 19+
You will be required to study 1 day a week in the classroom and 2 days a week in the salon gaining work experience.

For remote learning, please speak with our admissions team.
Our intensive Level 2 Hairdressing program runs for between 3-6 months. You are required to study 2 days a week in class and 2 days remotely, with 1 day a week gaining work experience in a hairdressing salon.
Our courses are flexible and open to people of all ages and backgrounds. Our tutors have 30 years combined experienced, some tutors have also come back to education after a long break.
We welcome anyone who also needs support with coursework, including English and Maths skills.
