Course programme

Will cover monoprint, linocut, collagraph and some other relief techniques, with the aim of providing knowledge and resources to enable learners to continue printmaking at home with inexpensive equipment and simple materials. It would be helpful to bring sketchbooks, photos or other imagery from which to work, although a theme will be suggested.

You will need to provide disposable vinyl gloves and an overall for working with printing inks and solvents. The course fee includes all materials although you will be encouraged to source scrap materials for experimental printing.

Other courses in printmaking run throughout the year and you are encouraged to build on your previous experience by joining one of these courses or you may be encouraged to strengthen your skills in related areas, particularly drawing, on many other courses at City Lit.
