The course will focus on ensuring that Supervisors know how to comply with the Law and manage day to day issues enabling them to reduce the risk of costly accidents, bad publicity and disrupted production. To give an insight into how to manage people and therefore Health & Safety.

• Legal Requirements - Explanation of general themes common to much Health & Safety Legislation, including an introduction to risk assessment processes.
• Risk Assessment - Practical insight into the management of risk.
• Safety Inspections – Monitoring Health & Safety in the work place. Maintaining safe systems of work.
• Accident/Incident Investigation – Focusing on root causes of accidents involves candidate participation in role playing exercise.
