About this course

Employees should be working in an appropriate care setting. A letter will be required from the manager confirming their status and role and that they support the employee†s attendance on the course. Candidates will be asked to take a literacy assessment.

About the course : This course is for Employees working in social care settings in the role of senior support worker/key worker for young people under 18 years of age. Participants will further develop workplace skills relating to national occupational standards and their job role.

Mandatory Units :
Promoting effective communication for and about individuals.
Promoting, monitoring and maintaining health, safety and security.
Reflecting on and developing your own practice.
Contributing to the protection of children and young people.

Optional Units :
There will be a range of optional units to choose from.

Entry requirements
After this course : Employees can develop their roles and responsibilities at work and progress onto NVQ Level 4.

Cost : This course is offered under the Train to Gain programme and is free to individuals who don't already have a level 2 qualification. Otherwise the cost is £150.
